Question for the Climate Change proponents out there..

Tucker did a segment last night and asked the question that I have been wanting the answer to for years. If we (humanity) must lower carbon emissions by 50% before fill in the blank date.. or the earth is doomed.. And you support this position..
Then why did the "experts" at the UN say this needed to happen for all "Western Civilized Countries", yet gave China and India a free pass? Why do we have to do draconian measures yet they don't have to do any?

It has nothing to do with climate change. It is about exerting power and control over the people.

I said this during the Trump/Biden debate. Trump missed a golden opportunity to hammer Biden on that exact notion.
Any person that is intelligent enough should be able to realize that America could wake up tomorrow with no Carbon emissions and it would have a small fraction of the impact that having China or India just do something environmentally positive would have.
Global Warming is another issue that people just refuse to see what's in front of them. If we're worried about water warming and ice melting, then we need to get all of the free floating islands of plastic out of the oceans. That plastic is sitting there magnifying the rays of the sun. I don't know how much we can attribute to it in terms of warming the water, but it sure as hell isn't cooling it.

I live in Monroe County Florida. We have zero democrats on our board of county commissioners. They spend every meeting talking about sea level rise. In some cases they are creating special taxing districts to pay for resiliency projects. They also voted to abandon roads they consider too expensive to save. If you bought a house in Stillwright Point in the last decade your million dollar home is worth crap these days. DeSantis is committing millions of dollars to save parts of the Florda Keys. In south Florida this isn’t a partisan issue at all.

Humans have quite the hubris to believe they can just build wherever and not have to worry about the effects of mother nature. Or even better, the hubris to believe they can actually change mother nature's will.

This is obvious to us, but I'm still amazed as to why so many people passionately believe this. And I am okay with their strong belief, but why do the two largest "polluters" get a total pass? What do they think would get them to fall in line?
