The question is, did Desantis improve his position in the Republican primary race?
He hurt himself bigly.
His weak statement may have finished him although I wouldn't be surprised to see a better statement when Trump is actually indicted.
But damage control is never as good as doing it right the first time.
Desantis is smart but he is already being fogged over by people who are out of touch with terrible political instincts to boot.
