I wonder what he said. Whatever he said lit a fire in them… Go Tigers!

He showed them the box score. Before that, they had no idea they were hitless and down four runs.

He probably told them to quit pressing and have fun. They're the #1 team in the nation for a reason. 4-0 hole isn't anything with 18 outs left, but it's time to make some adjustments and break the ice. Stick to the plan but don't make the same mistakes anymore.

I feel for the right handers today and last night. Both umpires were really inconsistent, especially todays. I couldn’t tell where the strike zone was on any given pitch. If we ever get a decent umpire, we’ll smoke A&M. Klings average took a big hit because of the inconsistent umpires. It went both ways for the most part but it seemed like we got the worst of it. Our pitchers haven’t walked anyone all season and all of a sudden they start walking batters. That should be a sign to the umpires that they’re calling a bad game. I’m hoping we get a decent strike zone tomorrow. Not that it mattered.

We should be feasting on righty’s today. I believe A&M used up their left hand pitchers. Let’s ride baws and get this sweep!

Maineiri had his day, and achieved much success as the Tiger boss. He was, like Miles in football, just old school, and didn't change with the times

This is not true at all. The game changed twice while he was our coach, and he responded twice to those changes. He was just not as successful at it as he probably should have been. I appreciate his time here and was happy with him as our coach until around the Covid year. I’m glad he retired, and I am very excited about Jay Johnson. This dude can recruit and coach an offense!

Maineiri was just what LSU baseball at the time and he stabilized LSU after Smoke.
He also either became complacent or heart just wasn’t in it after NC.

It was time for a change glad Johnson was the hire.

I can tell you exactly what he told them, he said " stop being undisciplined and try and see more pitches" he also said stop swinging for the damn fences when the wind is blowing in"
