What ya'll using to put tools, etc. on your bike for trips into the woods ? Seems like i just always end up throwing hand tools in a damn walmart bag and hanging it off the gun rack before I head in the woods. Not a fan of the roll up bags and most saddle bags i've seen...

Tool bag with a zipper, 5 gallon bucket with lid, yeti load out box. There are many better options than a grocery bag.

I have racks on front and back. Mounted two 50cal ammo boxes, one on each side in the front rack. Can fit quite a bit in each. Carry box end wrenches, a small socket set, pair of channel locks, gloves, a husky rechargeable spotlight, slime air compressor, tire plug kit, spare hitch balls for my exchange a ball hitch, knife, winch remote, and some of those 1/4” cam-style rope straps.

I just mounted a standard plastic tool box to one side on my front rack.

In a five gallon bucket in a milk crate to strap it down.

I have milk crates zip tied to the rack on a couple of our bikes. They work good for hauling stuff. If the items are small enough to slip through the milk crate you can always slip a 5 gallon bucket in it.
ETA. This is the only pic I could find of the set up.

thanks for all the suggestions. I've actually mounted the plastic ammo box on my tractor ROPS and it works damn well for hand tools, etc. I do like the milk crate idea with maybe an ammo box inside..

Go old school with a 4” PVC pipe under the rear rack like the 185s basket rack had hanging under it.

Powpow had 2 edged off milk crates tie wrapped together for a solid 25 years on his big bear. Legit thought about doing it just to say I was a little like him.
But I just went with the basket front and drop basket in the back from the dealership. Added a storage hook u-bolted to the front rack to hang the pole saw. Bungee cord it to the back rack. Shits handy.
