2 Day's Off in Houston, What to Do?

I am a long time Houstonian and we decided to take off a few days next week and just have a staycation rather than travelling abroad. What are some things in and around Houston that you would suggest seeing or doing on Thursday/Friday? We have been here 15 years so have done a good bit but would be open to driving around to see something new or experience a different place.

With it being spring break I would probably stay away from some of the more touristy things since they will be over run during the day; Nasa, museums, rodeo etc.

Memorial Park just went/is going through a massive expansion. If weather is nice, walk the loop and do the land bridge. Also visit the eastern glades in Memorial Park.
Rent some E-bikes from Pedego and stroll the Heights and bayou. The new 11th street bike lanes could certainly see some actual use and traffic. Grab lunch, ice cream some where and stroll up/down Heights Blvd.

1/2 day in Chinatown hitting up a cheap foot massage, local bakery, kickass Asian lunch, supermarket for shite you can’t get at H-E-B
Those indoor go-carts can be fun
Day drink at Loft 18
Rodeo
Eat and drink your way through the Heights
Shooting range. Weather is nice enough to go blast some clays.
Ipics is a fun way to catch a movie

Brewery crawl
Port boat tour
Houston Botanical Garden
If you haven't hit all the museums, then that's a good day

Thanks for the suggestions, we live in the Heights so know we will bike and hike around part of one of the days just bar hopping in the afternoon. The cistern idea is great! We hike the Bayou all the time and cross over right at Sabine Street bridge and had no idea the cistern was even there.
