Food and things to do in Knoxville, TN?

Heading to Knoxville next week for four days to watch a swimmer of mine competing at NCAAs. Been there for a game day once, but never long enough to call it a trip. Any stops that would be good and food places?

Calhoun's on the River for the view. Food is alright. Some of their other locations the food is so-so to not good.
Ye Olde Steakhouse is good, but a little out of the downtown/campus area down 441 to the south.
Litton's in Fountain City (north of town on 441) has good burgers.
Ham N Goody's in West Knoxville on Middlebrook has some dang good baked goods. They are really known for their lemon cookies.
Not a ton of things to do in town outside of the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame (other side of downtown from campus) and the McClung Natural History Museum (on campus), or walk around World's Fair Park. Best thing to do, if you have the time, is drive up to GSMNP. Easy drive there and easy drive up to Newfound Gap. I know they are starting to introduce paid parking permits in the park, but not sure if that has started yet.

Agree with hitting GSMNP if you have time. Since I’m in SE TN I’d always recommend a stop in Chattanooga.
Eat at Lakeside Tavern. Perhaps on the way in since it is on the west side of Knoxville but really worth a stop. Link below
LINK
Downtown Market Square is cool to check out.
It’s a little cheesy but I always like going to Mast General Store downtown
LINK
Barleys Taproom for music and beer
The TN Theater and Bijou Theater right downtown so check their event schedule and see if there is something interesting.
Clanceys Tavern (Irish). You can walk around downtown from Mast General to Market Square with the Theaters right there as well. Lots to do in that part of town
