I'm a frequent listener to Jocko Willink's "Jocko Podcast"

His episode #375 featured an excellent interview with Chad Robichaux.
- Native of Raceland, LA.
- Former Marine Recon who imbedded himself in Afgan cities to identify and direct strikes on Taliban leadership.
- Former MMA professional fighter
- Founder of Mighty Oaks organization that works to address suicides among veterans.
- Author of "Saving Aziz" about how his mission to help save Aziz, his interpreter, from the Taliban takeover after Biden's failed withdrawal from Afghanistan led to his group saving thousands.

Eposide #375

Just passing it along cause it was a fantastic listen. It's about a 3-hour podcast but each part of Chris' life and experiences will keep your attention.

Thanks for the post. Would you happen to know if he is the son or relative of a Dr. Robichaux there in Raceland?

I don't know his relatives, but others might. Had a very troubled childhood in Raceland which he discusses on the Podcast.

His older brother died in an accidental shooting when they were young. His father was an ex-Marine who struggled with PTSD and staying sober. His parents divorced when he was young.

After his first stint in the Marines, he returned to South Louisiana and was an undercover officer who posed as a student to identify & capture the adult drug dealers who were selling to the students.

He mentioned another undercover officer in that area who had played college baseball and ended up joining the high school team as part of his cover.

Thanks! Corrected - Jocko.

Also nice to hear Chad drop back into his cajun accent when he starts talking about where he grew up.

I spent a month working at bank in Raceland about 22 years ago, it was like stepping back in time. Nothing had changed building-wise except the bank since the 60's.
