Good luck finding a Dr who will condone your smoking habit, especially if you have asthma.

Doctors should be able to review patients.

You really don't need to be fasting for an LDL or HDL either, and you really shouldn't treat triglcyerides (which do vary significantly with fasting/nonfasting states) if they're not upwards of 4x the upper limit of normal (on my assay), so you've basically got a misinformed patient attempting to dictate care.
So many doctors are misinformed on this.

Due to HIPAA, we can't defend ourselves. The only way to fight back is through litigation. Most of those reviews are bullshite anyway. Hell, I can go on there and give myself some 5 star, glowing reviews to offset any bad ones.

There’s a real unfortunate amount of dumbassery in this world, and our profession ain’t excluded.
You were right about a bunch of stuff by the way- in short, taking an inpatient hiatus, mostly related to hospital ineptitude. Sort of enjoying it. Not certain I’ll go back.

Gave me more time in clinic and didn't have to deal with interruptions from hospital during the day. Greatly increased profits with less hassle and better quality of life. It's getting damn near impossible to have a hospital practice and see patients. You're right, ineptitude on the part of the hospitals, their staffs and many new specialists killed me. Patients get used to it. I had a few change doctors, but not enough to matter. Gave me more time to build my industrial medicine practice. More money for your time, no insurance except occasional comp claim and get paid billed amount. I'm selective about my companies and won't take just any.
I've been very tempted to just do industrial medicine and go cash only for everything else. I could reduce my staff and overhead by 75%, and make more money. I'd hate to leave most of my patients without a PCP and let employees go, but as overhead climbs every year and no real re-imbursement increase in like 15 yrs, the decision may make itself.

But think of the people you could save in an actual gunfight.

I empathize because as a person of size I could go to the doctor with a gunshot wound and they’d tell me to lose weight
If it don't hit red meat, all you can do is bandage it up anyway. By losing weight, you become a smaller target.
I'd let you have 2 suckers since you were shot.

Nah. I'm fat and the doctor would have 100% mentioned the fat part. I could go to the doctor with a stab wound and the doc would blame my weight. He'd probably say that if my gut wasn't so big, the knife would have missed me.
this actually made me lol. id expect many docs perspective would be more like; thank god hes fat, the stabs didn't hit anything vital. but still fat so a little finger wag likely to happen.

Do you think her hair is blue, pink, or green? How many tats and piercings?
I'm thinking 3 tattoos on her back of a copy of her kids' footprints from birth. But she's not avant garde enough for colored hair. It's straight greasy brown in a butt cut. Or pulled pack in a TIGHT pony tail/bun which squidges up her face.

That’s the type of review that I would completely ignore, unless I was a fat arse that smoked.

Why did they quit treating trigs? Fenofibrate was a go-to for years.

A smoking, drug addicted, overweight, asthmatic patient and her biggest worry is a judgmental doc? My favorite doc would kick her out of his clinic, why try to help anyone who refuses to help themselves.

Found out we made the numbers better but not the patients, basically. Still indicated sometimes, but it’s somewhat rare.

So he wants to improve your asthma, is alarmed at your addiction to benzos, and wants to check your hypercholesterolemia and insure you arent going to get your feet amputated because of diabetes.
Yeah, I would be pissed too. He shoulda just ignored your medical conditions and written your dope scripts.
And I am not a Dr, but I dont think you need to be fasting to check A1C.......and who doesnt go to the Dr in a fasting state to insure they can do labs...who the hell has time to take an extra trip.

These people are the ones driving medical providers out of the business.
Also not sure if regional but has anyone seen the commercial where the fat bitch disregards a physician bc she’s “too pretty to be effective”

Polarizing comment. Lots of people have been on benzodiazepines for year and are addicted through no real fault of their own and don’t know they’re addicted.
There are a ton of manipulative shits who abuse and distribute it, too. Which is why you have a significant portion of PCPs in areas that don’t have much access to psych who have no problem treating depression and anxiety but will write no benzos or at least far fewer benzos than days per month.
