I agree, but cable with the $7 a month rental fees for access devices (ETA: for six TVs of which three got used on the daily) stuck in my craw for a decade before I switched to Hulu and the ex-wife didn't notice. Boom.

There is a significant issue with when and through what venue you can watch a particular show, for sure. Is 1923 on Paramount, Paramount Plus, Hulu, or can I stream it through Amazon Prime with a sub? Can I watch it the day it releases with a paid subscription to the above? What about with a free sub to one of the lot? Do I have to wait until the live airing is over before I can start watching and be able to skip the commercials, etc.
I don't judge people who cut the cord - I just happen to be extremely picky about performance.

I basically have DirecTV and then subscribe to literally all of the major services. I think this makes my monthly bill ~$250...however, it's very rare that something I want to watch isn't instantly watchable.

I chalk half of that up to my intoxication level at 8-9PM when the blockbusters go live, though.

I'd like to pretend I could solve the 1883/1923/Yellowstone paradox with a post it note, but it changes every season, and I just sit here confused.
