Carr with a chip over anyone else they could realistically get. Sometimes a change of scenery does a body good I’ll reserve judgement until I see a full season of him at the helm. One thing for sure is he is a baller

We gave him a 100M guaranteed. He's going to have that Michael Thomas motivation.

Derek Carr's visit with the Jets on Monday went 'really well' ????

"[The Jets] made it super personal too, they said 'We believe if you come to New York and win, you could be a first ballot Hall of Famer.'" —

You sir are an idiot.

Fine, say he sucks, you are entitled to your opinion. But saying the Jets passed on him is flat out a lie. Do better.

Played entire career for 4 games of Dennis Allen, 12 games of Tony Sparano, 3 seasons of Jack Del Rio, two good years of Jon Gruden (winning seasons), one season under interim head coach Rich Bisaccia (made playoffs) and Josh McDaniels, all while always having a bottom 10 defense.

Not saying DA is any good, but when he has had stability, he has been a damn good QB.

And Matthew Stafford was 74-91 and 0-3 in the playoffs with the Lions. 4 winning seasons and a 62% completion percentage.

LOL this guy put his cheeks on a super bowl trophy.

It is a stupid way to compare QBs.

OAK/LV:
Worst ownership in the NFL
Most draft busts in NFL history
Never had a defense ranked higher than 20. 2 years had 32nd ranked defense.
Consistently one of the worst offensive line units in the league.
Gave up multiple double digit 2nd half leads in 2022.

He’s never been “damn good”. His best year ever (2021) he was the 12th best qb in the league. He’s usually an average to below average qb. He’s a bandaid for DA nothing more. Zero upside

Based on what exactly?

For what it’s worth his best year was 2016 when he was playing lights out before getting hurt.

But to be fair so was Carson Wentz

Ya that's why he signed with the NEW ORLEANS Saints. It's no Los Angeles. No-one is foaming at the mouth to drive past Gentilly..

Selective Stats FTW!

Now get a Derek Carr Jersey and watch us get back to the Playoffs.

He's a Saint now, and all the bitching and whining won't change that this season.

The question is, is he better than:
Dalton
Winston
Taysom

I'll say yes. How much, we won't know until we see it.

I think he's better than Winston and Taysom.

But I think Dalton would have a better 2023 season with him having most of last year's experience at running the offense. After that I'm not sure

He's too damn old to have that excuse. Dalton is just not good enough. There's a reason he's been a backup for years before coming to NOLA.

No it isn’t, Woody Johnson flat out hit the eject button. The Jets did indeed pass on him because they want Rodgers.
