Possibly, but the fact that some many people think they are the best ever when their songs are so meh shoots them to the top of overrated. I sometimes think people here don't really understand what overrated means. A band can be really good and be overrated. BTW, every Beatle but John has a solo song better than every Beatles song.

Are you claiming each member of the Beatles (sans John) put out a solo song somewhere along the line, that was a better song than any Beatles song?

If so, what are these songs?

Because I would disagree. IMO, if there was ever a band that collectively needed one another, I think they're the perfect example.

An argument could be made for George being freed up and coming into his prime after their breakup, but certainly not the other three.

I think that people that maybe aren’t big Beatles fans would still think that is an idiotic statement. I liked Lennon’s stuff with the Beatles much more than his solo stuff but he still put out some good songs, many better than some of the Beatles songs. Such as…
Imagine
#9 Dream
Instant Karma
Jealous Guy
Woman
Whatever Gets You Through The Night
Oh My Love
Mind Games
Watching The Wheels
Starting Over

We get it…you hate The Beatles. To each his own.

He wrote great stuff when he put his mind and effort into it.

He was far and away the best writer of the lot. And in a lot of cases he was only half assing it.

He was a generational talent.

...as were The Beatles as a unit.

“their songs are meh” is the worst take I’ve seen in a while. Just because you don’t like someone doesn’t mean they are overrated.

Yes.

Because I would disagree.
Of course you would.

Paul - too many to name, but jet, Junior's Farm for sure.
George - What Is Life
Ringo - It Don't Come Easy.

Juniors Farm was decent. Not anywhere near something like Yesterday or Golden Slumbers, or many others.

What is Life isn't even the best song on ATMP. George's best song was probably Something.

George wrote and originally recorded It Don't Come Easy.

And I disagree. I v=cannot imagine someone wanting to hear yesterday more than maybe 3 times.

Never said it was.

George helped, but there's no dispute that it's credited to Ringo.
