Trump supporters, will you vote for DeSantis in the general if Trump runs as independent?

This is the real question imo.

No. If trump is on the ballot, he has my full support.

I am voting Trump no matter what

I'm pro Trump but I just don't see how a split ticket like that can beat the cheating Dems. Keep in mind we have to win by like 10% just to overcome the cheating.
I'm not sure it matters what I would do at that point, the Dems win.

If Trump runs independent just as well vote for demented joe

At this point, I am all in on Trump. I reserve the right to change my mind depending on how circumstances change.
I don't think voting really matters anymore though. I continue to vote out of habit more than any belief that they are actually counting them fairly.

Trump ain’t running independent, no way, no how. Hell, the media’s readily willing to just make shite up out of thin air, and even they are not trying to run anywhere with this narrative. And it would’ve way already been a constant story.

Moot point because Trump’s winning the Republican primary.

Nope. DeSantis is controlled by the Establishment. Might as well vote for Jeb.

My (increasingly rare it seems) stance remains that I like GOB and I like Gov D.
If DeSantis won the GOP nomination, I would vote for him. I would see Trump running as an independent a deliberate decision to split the vote and, damn the consequences, give the SocialistDems 4 more years to wreck havoc.
I voted for GOB in ‘16, I voted for him in ‘20 and would without hesitation vote for him in ‘24 if he were the nominee.
But I’m not willing to sink the ship and simply cede to the radical left 4 more years just to prove some point that won’t make a damn bit of difference in the bigger picture.

No. I went the Ross Perot route once and it gave us eight years of Bill Clinton.

I will not vote for DeSantis. He is a career politician and no different than George Bush or any of the rest of them.
If DeSantis wins the primary I will stay home!

How do you feel about how the career politician has governed one of the largest states in the union? It looks like a pretty good resume to me. (Im a Trump guy BTW)

What percentage does it take to invoke fed funding for a third party in fed elections? It's not that high. Trump could pull that percentage.

But it would seem that if voting made no difference and no longer mattered, there wouldn’t be the simmering tensions, particularly on the left, as to who may or may not run on the Democrat side, nor the rising obsession amongst all pundits (left and right) over what will happen on the Republican side. Their attention and curiosity as to what will shake out thus what the Democrat vs Republican nominee dynamic will be like. If the basic foundations for all that attention wasn’t their predictions as to how voters will respond, then they’d be suspiciously quiet and low key about it all.

I think we should cede the ship. We need to hop on the lifeboats and call for a covention of states, an arena where truth can be brought to light.

Don’t know. I might not because I want maximum chaos.
The only way this shite gets solved is for it to go off the rails. We’re close but not there yet.

That would be interesting, however if true wouldn’t sway my thinking anywhere on anything. And I don’t mean that as a wise arse, I would follow up a little by saying that situation then and the future hypothetical situation being discussed now are IMO very different circumstances. All that said, so you’re saying that Trump entered what as a Democrat? If he had entered primaries as a Democrat he would’ve been in with whoever was on that side then, and not the Bush and the Kasich and the gang. So I’m a little confused, but perhaps it’s on me. What am I missing here?
