This home plate is very inconsistent on 1 strike pitches vs 2 strike pitches. Just call balls and strikes man.

He’s nervous as a shithouse rat. He will settle down. Next outing should be better. His strength is that he throws strikes. He has not done that today. Nerves…..

I think Hurd will be a weekend guy, just can't tell if they want him as a starter or reliever yet.
He's coming off of a back injury. Wes has been doing extra work with him, and I assume it's to tighten areas up that may aggravate the back. So, I'm not all too surprised that he's been erratic. He's probably not himself yet, adjusting to the things they're working on. The arm, stuff, and between the ears are there...just needs to keep working and stay healthy, the command will come.
