Her criticisms of, and anger toward, Trump on immigration are rooted in the fact that he screwed up on things he had complete control over:

- He signed the budget denying border wall funding and denying a border wall regardless of where the money came from
- He refused to sign an EO on anchor babies
- He refuse to tax remittances
- There was only one name he needed for DHS secretary and he never even considered him
- Also, Trump was ready to sign a bill that had provisions in it that she and Rush both said would destroy the country. She sounded the alarm on this and it got some traction. Then Rush did, I think on the same day, and the issue blew up and finally word got to Trump not to sign it. If not for Ann and Rush, Trump would have signed that bill.

She sent Trump a copy of her book, with certain passages marked and magically these things started showing up in Trump's campaign platform, which the people loved. She knows these issues resonate with voters, which is why she was the first to say he was the favorite to win. Then he neglected to follow through.

Ann's anger at Trump is completely understandable.
