Just curious how long will it take to speak decent Spanish if I give it 30 mins a day ?
And what is the best online program to take ? Thanks

I am not sure if 30 minutes a day is enough to learn a language. Immersion is the best way to learn. Watch movies in Spanish, read and write in Spanish, listen to Spanish radio and do whatever you can to be around Spanish speaking people.
I am just glad if I need to speak to someone in another language I can point them to the tablet where they pick their language and a translator comes on video chat.

I did Rossetta. I’m sure babel is good also. Should pick it up pretty quick on account of how many people speak Spanish in the south. Conversing with other people who speak it is the best way by far. I did Rosetta for French. I know a good amount but can’t speak it fluently on account there’s nobody in FL who speaks it.

I got Rosetta Stone and it really did work wonders. I thought it would be impossible to learn a foreign language. There are dialects and accents and shite you can’t really learn quickly but within 3 weeks I was already fully functional and maybe even “fluent” for a foreigner. Yep - 3 weeks and I can speak Australian.

I used duolingo to learn Spanish, it was pretty good, I work with Spanish speakers and that helped even more

Wish they had one for Cajun so I could speak to the bayou Baws in their native to tongue

My sister (no pics) would religiously practice her Duolingo Spanish and can speak fluently after about 2 years. She practiced a lot in public settings (lives in South Florida, so most places were bilingual employees.)

I played around with German for a couple of days for kicks. They have a lot of words very similar to English.

I've been trying to learn Russian for years. Dating a native speaker has helped. The pronunciation is a bitch.
