If you are even asking this question, you do not support McMahon. Hell, you want to fire him after 26 games at least have the balls to say so.

Yep I’d fire him and go get Beard before we even finish this season. But I actually want to win something of significance this decade.

How IN THE MOTHERFLUCK can over 20 LSU "fans" down vote a thread asking to replace our ABSOLUTE JOKE of a HC with Chris Beard, who would have us winning big within 2 years????

Is it just because it's a pipe dream? Or do they actually think Mac is better than Beard? HOLY BLANK.

Maybe they are not OK with a guy strangling a woman? I guess you are?

I bet most don't want OJ as the running backs coach either.

Everyone wants Beard, and I'm positive its an upgrade from MM, but are we sure he even wants to coach here?

I'm sure he's itching to go to a school that tossed the basketball program under the bus for something the coach won't even walk away with a show cause on and then will fire his replacement after one season.

Do you have 14 million lying around. Donate it to TAf so they can buy out CMM's contract and hire Beard

DO IT!!!

So you know for a fact Beard is guilty??????????

How about we go by the facts. The charges (for whatever reason) are being dropped. Until he's (and here's a VERY important word) CONVICTED he's innocent until proven guilty. Is it possible women lie, or even exaggerate in regard to domestic conflicts?? Ever?? Maybe once or twice??

This is still America, at least for another generation or two.

I WANT TO WIN. And since EVERY COACH that recruits top talent runs a FILTHY program, I don't let a hell of a lot deter me from considering a winner. ESPECIALLY one who has been convicted of nothing.

If it's proven in a court of law, or by his own admission that he's beaten or raped a woman, or killed somebody, then that obviously would exclude him. But don't rush to judge the guy.

OJ also didn't kill those two people, huh? Maybe we could make him our RBs coach.

If he’s innocent then we should hear about Beard suing Texas for wrongful dismissal … you know, similar to that Wade lawsuit against LSU.

Would depend on his contract. I very highly doubt an institution like UT would just fire someone on a whim. I would imagine being charged with certain crimes is considered cause for firing.

There is often an ocean of space between someone committing a criminal act and being able to get a conviction. Many factors, including a victim's lack of willingness to prosecute, go into it.

But tigahlovah is screaming that Beard has been cleared and we should hire him. Surely that’s a clear sign that he’s innocent, in which case he was wrongfully dismissed. Tigahlovah wants to win now dammit!

innocent until proven guilty only applies in a courtroom. In the real world, we can all make assessments about people based on what we know.

Are you really arguing that no one should be fired until actually convicted? That’s an absurd position to take.

these threads are pointless. CMM is here a minimum of 3 years, win or lose.

The thread title contradicts the body of the OP's post. He support McMahon but also supports firing him?

You've got it all wrong. I love the position we are in with McMahon, the boy scout. Losing 12 in a row is fun, and being the biggest underperforming non blue blood in the country warms my heart.

There is no good reason LSU can't be top 10 in football every year, and in the tournament 4 out of 5 years AT THE LEAST. We're not Ole piss or Arkansas for Pete's sake. We're LSU. At one time we had the longest consecutive tournament appearance streak in the nation, and had a shot to go on deep runs any given year.

Several other schools accomplish this, and we should to. We had the coach to do this, until we didn't. Beard would be Wade, and quite possibly better.
