Headed from hobby to Denver in a couple days. I’ve only flown with them once and don’t remember having any trouble. I know they’re a budget airline and get a bad rep but was wondering how they fared with all the recent cancellations and whatnot .. thanks in advance
Also I’ve never flown out of Hobby so not sure what to expect there.

Nothing wrong with Hobby. My favorite little airport

Husband and I flew fayetteville to Denver Friday and back this morning, no issues.
Friend of ours flew Hobby to Denver on the same days to meet us, no issues.
If you check a bag they are a little slow. In Denver you can do it through the kiosks but no employee was there early to show anyone.

Never flown Frontier but Hobby is a good airport to fly out of. Smaller lines and easier security than IAH.

Flew Frontier Denver to Vegas for $27 2 weeks ago. When all the shite shows we’re going on with ice in Dallas and the Southeast, Frontier checked right along with the DEN hub.
They were hounds on the bags tho. There was a lady who’s bag was barely too big. She just took all of her clothes out and told them to ditch the bag haha.

Yeah I saw that on the bags. An up to 40 lb check bag is 55$ each way. If you want an up to 50lb allowance it’s like 100$. We are just gonna check two (ski suits and gear) and weigh them out and make sure we don’t exceed 40lbs. Gonna load our personal item backpacks down.

Gate agents get a commission on the bag fees paid at the gate.

Is that so? No wonder at MSY the black lady was sticking it to the blacks too for fees. End of last year to Vegas trip

Hobby is a breeze, especially with TSA Pre. Fast Park Relax is solid there too. Flying out there tomorrow and always enjoy it more than IAH.
Frontier was good with me my last flight a month ago, too. You should be fine.

Considering 4 of us are planning on bringing bigger backpacks as personal items I’m glad to read this. May have to reconsider and check one more big bag to play it safe.

18" X 14" x 8" is the dimension limit (no weight limit on personal item)
