I don’t think it’s fair to compare a normal person (assuming you’re not a D1 athlete) recovering from an ACL tear to someone who has D1 genetics and medical care.

Do you honestly think Joe Burrow is the same? He is indeed not as mobile or runs with the same level of escapability as he did prior to his injury.

That is a fact.

McMahon is a questionable hire for head coach. This team has underperformed from a competitiveness perspective so you’re blaming Miller.

Miller has as much to blame for the lack of success of this team as the coaching staff and other underperforming players like Juice.

My issue with the narrative around Miller is the casual basketball fans who take Will Wade’s word for him that he was really good and want to blame the the team on his performance when he is also culpable for his poor play.

I could forgive him missing difficult shots if he was forced to take them. My issue with Miller is the constant missed open shots, the horrible shot IQ, and the lack of consistency.

Fans defending him because WW said he was good makes it worse. Every qualifier fans say to defend him: “his acl injury, he needs to be on a better team, he needs a smaller role” etc. were all met at Illinois yet his stats and eye test there are similarly lackluster. He’s the same player here as he was there, he’s always been a mediocre shooter.
