Recommend a Recipe Website

can anyone recommend a good website with good recipes, without 17 pages of text per recipe?
every website that provides recipes that I like seems to feel that every recipe needs to include multiple screens telling me every time the author has ever seen, tasted, or imagined the recipe, 13 different descriptions of how to cook exactly the same recipe, and another three screens of unnecessary filler.
I want to find a website that has recipes, including only an ingredients list and a very short set of instructions. No filler.
any recommendations?

Simply Recipes
Acadiana Table
They have some text, but it's generally relevant, not stories about grandma. Simply Recipes has "jump to recipe" link on each one.

Another vote for Simply Recipes. I also like Well Plated. Like the other poster mentioned, just hit the jump to recipe button.

With your gift of gab you should want all the writing.

Download Copy Me That.
It'a an browser extension that will grab the pertinent parts of a recipe from a long-winded story and format the ingredients and directions in a useable manner.
It's pretty handy.

I tend to search for specific recipes or types of foods rather than peruse recipe sites for the most part. As said already, most of those blogs that have lots of writing above the recipe, offer the option to skip to the recipe.
America's Test Kitchen which includes other sites is good, but it's a pay site for the most part. I agree that Allrecipes is good as well. Ina Garten is good.
I follow a lot of recipe sites and people who post recipes on Facebook. I enjoy the videos, but you can usually get the recipe in a link and skip those if you wish.

You should definitely search recipes on YouTube. Usually there are several recipes by different people for each dish. Pick out the one you like or take info from two or three videos and customize your own recipe to your liking. I usually pick the videos with the most views. Also, you get to see the preparation.
