The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office said 39-year-old Jessica B. Herb was taken into custody around 1:00 p.m. She was booked into the county jail on two counts of a school employee engaging in a sex act with a student under the age of 19.

She teaches at Ashville High School. It’s not that far from where I live. Unless something drastic has changed in the last few years, it’s mostly white. Probably has some Hispanic students as well.
