A flurry of reports saying that it relied on Russian intelligence or that he stumbled upon a bunch of criminal acts by Trump...or that Bill Barr told him to do bad things. I suspect this could mean that Durham is fixing to announce something of significance, and the media is getting ahead of it? (Or, if the norm, nothing happens.)
Just strange that he pops up all over, all at once....

There was rumor that he was trying to get emails from Soros’s assistants, but may just be a rumor

The recent arrest of FBI agent Charles Mcgonigal could be why. He was the FBI's counter-intelligence agent involved in the investigation of Trump.

It's because of a story published a couple of days ago in NYT sourced to >12 former/current officials.

The Gaslight Media, the Dims and never Trumpers claim Mcgonigal is 100% proof that Trump colluded with Russia to influence the 2016 election….these people are ate up with TDS and fake news,

It is unconscionable how the MSM is spinning it. I have known since Conkrite how fake our news was.

But then again, news or information has been fake for a very long time. The raw power of news and information has been tightly controlled.

However, with the "tremendous networks" available to the common man, the truth can no longer be contained.

The story says that he got them on the basis of dubious evidence from Russian intelligence sources (analogous to following Steele dossier leads).

Oh 100% it’s this. Practically nobody has even started to investigate Trump

Yeah, that's an exaggeration. The story says they got one tip from the Italians and Barr had Durham look into it.

I seem to remember he took a trip or two there and seized some cell phones.

Yep, that's right. And even watched videos of a witness while he was there, IIRC. Weird sort of thing for the atty general of the US to do.

All of the negative press about how a judge twice turned down his subpoena request for these soros emails, he used the russian disinformation to convince a grand jury to get them to approve the collection of the emails.

Sounds like they are trying to kill the messenger so that the emails are dismissed in the public eye.

What are in these emails that they are so scared of?? All the scathing articles on Durham NEVER mention why he wanted the emails or what may be in them.

Anyone know why they are so scared of them surfacing????

That's exactly how to make good hay of them in the upcoming campaign - suggest that their secrecy suggests wrongdoing. I think that will be a play.

But Tigerdoc if they could remotely tie it to Trump that would be the headlines everywhere wouldnt it?

Instead they all seem to be negative towards Durham and his tactics, trying to dismiss anything he finds as "fruit from the poison tree"....regardless if the information is true.

So what has he stumbled across that has them so scared?

You know how real investigations like this go, sometimes you turn up things that lead you in a totally different direction than where you were headed. Given the snakepit that DC is, no telling what he came across. Something bizarre (well it would have been 20 years ago) like Soros actually being a front for the CIA. Whatever it is, it sure has a lot of people nervous. The press is running more interference than a Lombardi power sweep.

Right, I'm sure they'd tie it to Trump if they could. I'm just saying that the presence of unavailable information will be used to suggest wrongdoing - like unavailable Grand Jury evidence from the Mueller investigation was. It's part of the political process.

Gotcha Doc.

I will agree Durham sure has kept a lid on the leaks better than any we have ever seen.

Mostly because Durham wasn't finding anything. Durham tried two cases and lost both and the one plea he got was handed to him by Horowitz. The best Durham can probably do now is write a saucy report that can fuel speculation that might be able to create pressure for some new investigation down the line. And on the wheel turns.

I like how now it’s ok for foreign entities to provide dirt on political opponents. Guess it only bad if done via phone call
