In particular he’s continuing to lie about not asking for more money, even after the DW produced his attorney’s follow up demand for $30 million a year.

It’s becoming increasingly more obvious this was planned out months ago on his part and he entered into bad faith negotiations specifically with this endgame in mind. The documents and time line produced by the DW are pretty damning in this regard. This is apparently his post-Blaze gameplan and it’s really gross to watch unfold.

I’ve really grown to like Crowder and his team over the last few months. I miss his show because they are pretty funny.

Hopefully everything works out for all parties involved.

I love Crowders, Change My Mind. His podcast is one of the worst though. He's not as funny as he thinks.

No proof he lied about anything. He's making valid points. They disagree.

This all came undone when DW outed themselves.

So the initial offer sheet was for $50 mill and Crowder came back asking for $30 mill?......

Once you learn that someone recorded your conversation without notice, would you ever take a phone call from them again?

Initial offer was $50M over 4 years I believe. He wanted $30M per year

I thought he came across as sincere late in the interview as to fighting censorship regimes. I just think that telling Daily Wire they can't have demonetization provisions in contracts with future talent is completely irrational. I guess he felt like he made a stand, though.

I also underestimated the resources he puts into his show. I figured it was him and a handful of guys. He says he employs 25-30 people. On one hand, he basically admits that he doesn't want to take the effort to get a new operation up and running and would rather join an established company. On the other, he is probably never going to get along with that type of company.

I’m not sure we watched the same video. His points are valid regardless of his motivation for making them. You can’t take money from conservatives promising to fight big tech and then penalize your talent for what big tech does.

Had no idea there was that much money in what they do.

But they didn’t, because everyone immediately knew who he was talking about when he released the video. One, he knew anyone who had ever had contract discussions with them would immediately recognize the contract. Two, he posted the “redacted” contract on Twitter but “accidentally” left subtle identifying information in there. And three, there are literally only three companies he could have been talking about and one was the one he just left, the other he left nearly a decade ago.

He absolutely knew everyone would know who he was talking about and this would force them to respond, after which he always planned to release the tale he recorded a month earlier.

Crowder is kind of looking like a dick in all of this.

I hate that this all happened but nothing since the initial “big con” video has turned me towards Crowder’s take. He could have just said “this isn’t going to work out,” and moved on. Pool did.

Crowder has lost me for good unless there’s something I’m missing. I’ll listen to the podcast tomorrow.

They offered $50 million for 4 years, with possibility of going to $75 million over 6. He wanted $30 million per year fully guaranteed, no contingencies on volume of content or social media access/demonetization.

He asked for that because he’s knows no business would ever do that and they’d say no, and then he gets to do the song and dance we’ve all seen.

They’re close to a million subscribers at >$10 a month on top of ad reads and YouTube monetization.

That money was for the whole operation, though. Daily Wire said they knew Crowder would want to keep his production staff, so he would have to take that money and figure out how to spend it to make his shows and divvy it up among his staff. Still a ton of money, but not even close to $50 million net going to Crowder himself, though.

It’s a good idea not to piss off people who can offer you $50 million over some fairly petty grievances.

The best part about the whole interview was Pool said he asked Jeremy, "can I say Liz Cheney is a fat pig?" Jeremy said "no" and that was that.

What's the motive? How is he going to benefit from this?

Not a mug club member (yet) but I have casually watched or listened to the podcast. I don’t follow the details overly close, but he seems to be under a lot of pressure. I know he’s had some health issues and a new family (twins?) to think about, in addition to running his company.

I don’t know what the issue is with Not Gay Jared or if that’s just some kind of smokescreen daily wire, is throwing out there to distract people. I was under the impression that they had an amicable split. I know Garrett (quarter black) was a fixture on his channel for a long time before going over to Nerdrotic. He didn’t seem overly willing to share much that I have heard yet.
