I am really looking forward to Milazzo and Neal battle it out. Have to think if Neal does at least a half decent job in limiting the opposing run game he's going to take over by mid April as most freshmen do.

Yeah I doubt he will DH at all the day after he pitches. Maybe a pinch hit AB if the situation calls for it.

The threat of that is going to be a nice advantage. Teams can't IBB guys in the 9th knowing we can just PH Skenes

I like tre Morgan lead off. Put crews in the clean up spot. Dugas 2nd. And you got a good little crew. Hard to say hinestly. Haven’t followed as much as I’d like to admit

Paxton Kling is going to be hard to keep out of the outfield and lineup.

Pearson Crews and Kling will be the three outfielders opening night.

I think Jay will keep Crews at the 1 or 2 hole so he can't be pitched around as much. You put him at cleanup, he isn't going to get a lot of pitches to hit.

Depends on who you put in the 3/6 spot. But I definitely see the logic there.

1. Crews CF (R)
2. Morgan 1B (L)
3. Tanks 3B (R)
4. Pearson RF (L)
5. Skenes DH (R) / Jobert (L)
6. Dugas 2B (R)
7. Kling LF (R) / Ruddell (L)
8. Thompson SS (R) / Nippolt (L)
9. Neal C (L) / Jones (R)

I can only go off highlights and fall buzz obviously. With so many options, I’d use righty/lefty matchups at positions where there’s competition.

Ruddell, Kling, Neal and Jones all tore the cover off the ball this fall. As much as I like Stevenson and Milazzo, I’d aim to bludgeon teams with offense unless the defense shows glaring weakness to warrant the substitution.

1) Tre Morgan 1B (back healthy with speed and contact in leadoff)
2) D Crews CF (sees max at-bats and avoids pitching around)
3) Pearson RF
4) T White 3B
5) Skenes / Jobert DH
6) Thompson SS
7) Kling LF / Stevenson LF
8) Dugas 2B
9) Milazzo / Neal C

Opening weekend:

Friday:
1. Dylan Crews, CF
2. Tre Morgan, 1B
3. Tommy White, 3B
4. Josh Pearson, LF
5. Gavin Dugas, DH
6. Ben Nippolt, 2B
7. Paxton Kling, RF
8. Jordan Thompson, SS
9. Alex Milazzo, C

Saturday:
1. Dylan Crews, CF
2. Tre Morgan, 1B
3. Tommy White, 3B
4. Gavin Dugas, 2B
5. Josh Pearson, LF
6. Jordan Thompson, SS
7. Jared Jones, DH
8. Zeb Ruddell, RF
9. Brady Neal, C

Sunday:
1. Dylan Crews, CF
2. Tre Morgan, LF
3. Tommy White, 3B
4. Paul Skenes, DH
5. Cade Beloso, 1B
6. Jack Merrifield, 2B
7. Gavin Guidry, SS
8. Josh Stevenson, RF
9. Hayden Travinski, C

Just wanted to have fun with it and see if I could come up with 3 different lineups each day that would be logical. Don't think it will quite be like this. I'm sure Jay will have an idea of what he wants from fall scrimmages and also the scrimmages in spring. Will likely have a mostly consistent lineup each game with a few minor changes and then give plenty people at bats midway through each game opening weekend after getting up 12-0 by the 5th.

1). Crews SS
2). White 3B
3). Morgan 1B
4). Dugas LF
5). Pearson RF
6) Jobert/Skenes DH
7). Thompson CF
8). Guidry or Merrifield 2B
9). Milazzo

I like crews and white as 1 and 2 because they will get more at bats over the course of the year and you have to deal with them right now when you turn the lineup over. Morgan and Dugas will be really good 3 and 4 as they are very tough outs.

Really there are 100 possible lineups and they all look awesome

Good call. Weird that I did that. I’m not going to fix it. Need to be better in the future

That lineup could be anyway you want it, cause it’s that sick.

You don’t put your best hitter in the clean up spot. Why would you ever want to go the first inning without him guaranteed an AB?

I get the impulse to move Crews down and get more RBI opportunities, but he just loves leadoff and excels there. To me, it’s obvious when you watch him play.

I wish I had the energy to look up the stats, but he seems to crush leadoff homers and whiff at Grand Slam opportunities.

They will probably try again but yeah for some reason he’s just better leading off

But putting like Milazzo in the 9 whole just doesn’t give him enough runners on opportunities.

One thing about White that there is not a lot of talk about is that in addition to his 25+ HR's, he also batted .360 according to Coach Johnson. And Morgan has beefed up, adding 12-15 lbs, again according to Coach.
