The definition of illicit is to sell something in a way that is contrary to or forbidden by law, rules, or custom.
Selling a bible for profit would be against the customs of Christianity - selling a bible for profit is profiting off the teachings of the Lord.
That would meet the definition of being illicit and therefore selling a bible is grifting. It's also in incredibly bad taste and as someone said, if Hunter Biden did it, this board would go apoplectic.

How much do Bibles usually sell for? Is $80 a lot for a Bible, it does have some extra stuff printed with it.
It's expensive compared to Amazon, but that might not be the best to compare to.
