Looking to buy my first trailer. Do not need it for heavy duty things just for light work and lawn mower transportation. Does have any positive or negative opinions about Falcon Trailers? Or have you heard of NOLA Trailers?
If not positive for either do you suggest any other brands?
Thank you in advance!

In my experience, light duty utility trailers is one of those places I'll spend the bare arse minimum every time. Get the cheapest one that's the size you need with a real 2500 lb axle and roll with it.

I have a 14x6’10 tandem axle for my ATV. It has fold up rear ramp and removable rails at the front that are ~4 ft and double as ramps to side load an atv at the front. Pipe top rails, pretty heavy trailer, “treated” boards lasted about 4/5 years. Replaced with real treated wood and after drying rolled deck sealer on them. Overall pleased, would buy again if I needed a smallish atv trailer. ETA….the tires that came on it were the cheapest china shite they could buy, had a blowout at less than 50 miles. Replaced with better tires from local shop.

Use used motor oil with a little diesel and a cheap mop to treat your deck boards next time.

This right here. I try to do this every summer. Well worth it.

Where is NOLA Trailers? I don’t see them on Google.
It looks like Northshore Trailers sells Falcon.
I bought a cheap trailer when they were tough to find, because it was the only one available, and I’ve learned a lot because of it.
1). Make sure you can open the truck tailgate without hitting the trailer jack.
2) Radial trailer tires are better than the cheap bias-ply tires.
3) Buy a trailer with a spare tire mount already on it.
4) Quality lights are better than cheap. You want amber side marker lights ahead of the trailer fender.. Not only does it help others see your trailer, but it helps you see it in your side view mirrors at night.
5) Pipe top is better than angle iron.
6) If you’ll use it on the interstate, carry a spare hub.

You want one with a pipe top, boxed tail lights, jack that will clear your tailgate (even when turning sharp), and lots of welded tie-downs and stake pockets.

Turkish has good advice, too.
Tail lights break all the time, and tie-downs and stake pockets are good.
Only having 4 stake pockets is not enough.

I have a tandem axle Falcon I use for work. It’s a pretty nice trailer that has held up pretty well. Paint quality isn’t the best. (I would recommend getting a trailer with brakes. You don’t need it till ya NEED it)
