My man, every time someone argues with you, you tell them they’re starting straw man arguments.

You really need to try to understand what a strawman argument is before you interject that into so many discussions on here because you clearly don’t.

It’s almost as if you heard someone say it one time and thought it sounded smart.

Thank god, you’re not here to talk ball, you’re here to argue so you can push your ignorant agenda. Your canned incoherent responses are as clear as day.

Didn’t we finish 3rd in the SEC the two years prior to that one bad season?

I said we didn’t have to hire McMahon. I even said it in this thread.

With all of the investigation talk and bad press surrounding the program and most of the players already gone, if it hadn’t been McMahon, it would have been another mid-major hire. That was just inevitable.

He’s a transition hire like Brady was in a similar (but worse) situation that you hope will work out, but move on from in a few years if it doesn’t.

We could’ve hired a mid major and still made a good hire.

I get what you’re saying but you go get a Paul Mills. He comes from Scott Drew’s staff, he’s finished top 15 nationally in scoring the last 4 seasons, top 5 in 3 pointers made the last 3, and number 1 nationally 3 years ago. He’s made the sweet 16, upset 2 seeded Ohio State, 7 seeded Florida and lost to Arkansas best team by 2 to make the elite 8. And he’s done all this at Oral Roberts. That’s the kind of visionary coach from an elite staff at a mid major you go get.

Why the frick would someone like him risk taking this job? I’m serious. I was really surprised McMahon did with his resume. There is no way in fricking hell I would have if I were Mills. He will have much better offers soon.

Will Wade still lives in BR. Man hasn’t left

Is he under house arrest?

If not, why hasn’t anyone else signed him up to coach?

If firing him was a mistake, there should have been a line of schools waiting to hire him.

Risk? He’d be moving to a program that’s been top 4 in a major conference for the last few years. It’s a huge opportunity.

With all of the shite swirling around the program at the time and the players all leaving? Why jump at this job at a school that doesn’t have a big time hoops track record when he can wait for as good or better and most importantly, more stable?

Some of you really overrate how the LSU program is seen from the outside, especially right now.

Then Will Wade took over a total dumpster fire of a program, went 8-10 in the SEC his first season, and made the 2nd rd of the NIT. He was fighting mad every step of the way, and his players were running through brick walls for him. He shook the Blue Bloods of CBB to their core, and the long knives were out for him from that day forward.

He also didn’t need to almost literally replace the entire roster late coming in to take over. People forget that.

I remember LSU losing to AUB 100-62 in 1987, and that same team went on to make the Elite Eight.

I’m not saying we’re going to make a deep run in the NCAAT, but blowout losses happen, and I believe this team can still be competitive in SEC play. Just relax and be patient with this team.

That roster wade got won 2 sec games prior. He would have been better off with a transfer portal and ability to replace the dog shite.

The 0 players shite is about as like the 37 scholarship players in football.

BK didn’t use that as a crutch.

I don’t know. I already said I wouldn’t have in his shoes. Maybe he felt like he took things at Murray St as far he could and it was time to take the money and leave. He was there for 11 years counting his time as an assistant, which is an eternity for someone who’s had that level of success at a mid major.

You can bet that his experience beyond what you get with most mid major hires and his squeaky clean rep were big reasons why Woody focused on him.

Scott Woodward did some great things for us. But if running him off could get us the general back, get the pink slip ready.

No clean coach can win in the sec.

Muss, Oats, Cal, and Pearl prove that cheating is the way.
