Great movie. Just did a rewatch after a few years and even better this time around. This was one of Affleck's better performances IMO. In the early part of his career, I could see and feel him "acting" and did not enjoy his presence. After a few films lately I feel he has gotten a lot better at it. I really enjoyed Argo and I thought this role in particular he really inhabited the role. Great performances from Bernthal, Simmons, and Kendrick. Very good script as well. Affleck is finally growing on me.

I like the action portions of the movie. As an actual accountant, the auditing side of it was comical at best.

Aren't they making a sequel to this?

I find Anna Kendrick highly annoying in genera and I can’t place my finger on why. Any other female lead would have been more tolerable.

He was excellent in The Way Back, a surprisingly sneaky good movie. Same guy directed Warrior, The Accountant and Miracle (Gavin O'Connor). Supposedly a sequel to The Accountant is in the works.

I’ve never seen it - need to watch it - just watched Changing Lanes again - that’s such a well written movie

Fun movie but that all-nighter scene where he's mumbling accounting terms to himself makes me laugh my arse off because as complicated as it would sound to the general public, it is actually really basic, Accouting 101-level stuff he's reciting. He's doing like a month's worth of expert-level corporate consulting work in one night yet he doesn't know any accounting terms beyond juco-level EBITDA shite?

That and I'm pretty sure that the subtitles during a phone call scene accidentally spoil a minor plot twist about an hour before it's supposed to be revealed.

Not sure why I like this movie so much, but I do. Ana Kendrick is a decent actress, but not sure why she gets so much love.
