Downvote away. I get Walker has no chest etc etc. but, it’s not realistic to expect a 5* QB to stay around until junior year seeing no playing time while we continue to wait for Jayden Daniels to feel comfortable throwing over the middle in a Cover 3 Zone.

You just threw away your future (a Louisiana native) in exchange for a transfer QB who threw for less than 90 yards twice in a fricking season.

I genuinely hope people will look back on this post and laugh at it with Daniels winning the Heisman or some shite next season. It’ll be worth having JD coming back for one more season if we can significantly improve on this year. I’ll be the first to acknowledge and I’ll eat crow

But if he continues to look scared throwing it downfield against competition that isn’t UAB and Purdue’s 3rd string DBs, I’m going to lose my fricking mind. We won’t take that next step, and in the process lost the most valuable piece of our roster moving forward

What does Daniels have to do with a third string freshman?

LA native and transfer have nothing to do with anything.

Agree - BK better have a short leash on Daniels next season. No points in the 1st 3 series then pull him and put Nuss in the game.

Lol imagine watching the Arkansas game from
The bench then the next week running scout team and being given no chance to even be coached by the offensive coaches.

And that was his 2nd 80 yard passing game this year lol. Not including that he was below 80 yards vs FSU until they went prevent defense.

I hope Kelly can win with running and defense more than Les could. Even though Les won a shite load due to out-talenting teams for a decade

When did Howard ever have an 80 yard passing game at LSU?

He needed to leave. The ceiling of Howard is exponentially higher than Daniels is right now. Especially since we’ve seen how he reacts when a team drops 7-8 in zone coverage.

The plan should have always been Nuss next season (with Walker getting significant backup playing time) and Howard starting the year after.

I can’t see how the JD lovers can’t see this fact. Nuss is your prototypical pro QB. His ceiling and pro potential is light years ahead of JD’s. I would be surprised if JD even has any opportunities at starting as a QB in the NFL.

So nuss was just going to give up the starting spot?

JD better not lead us to the SEC tittle game. He better not have 80 yards and win 10 games. He better not win 3-4 games on his own either. He better have a short leash. You betcha.

I would have never allowed JD to return.
We just gave up our future for another 8-9 win season.

So its Daniels fault because should've left because he isnt as good as Nuss who would've then started as a RS-Soph in 2023, but then lost his job to RS-Soph Howard going into 2024?

There is no future at QB in CFB anymore

Howard leaves. We recruit another one or get someone in the portal.

With how Nuss looks, you could make the argument that he could’ve been drafted after next season with Howard slated to start the next year
