Hunter Brown, an Air Force Academy cadet and offensive lineman on the Falcons' football team, died after a "medical emergency" on his way to class on Monday, the school announced. He was 21 years old.

Air Force said first responders attempted to resuscitate the Lake Charles, Louisiana, native but were unsuccessful. No specific cause of death has been reported.

From the school:

"Hunter was a standout offensive lineman on the Falcon football team and was well-respected in his squadron," said Lt. Gen. Richard M. Clark, U.S. Air Force Academy Superintendent. "The entire U.S. Air Force Academy mourns his loss, and our hearts and condolences are with his family, his squadron, and all who were touched by this incredible young man."

Just going to state this obvious here. This never happened nearly as much as it’s been happening lately

Lets go through “how it’s more common”

These are the recent threads started on this board

Ex Louisiana tech and nfl player

Turned out to be drugs

Hamlin

Turned out to be from the hit

ODU player

Back at practice today and passed all tests

Mike zimmers son

Turned out to be alcohol

So yes, people try and link everything because they want a narrative, but don’t bother to follow up because they don’t truly care past their narrative

If this turns out to be a brain aneurism people won’t care just like the stories I listed above. They will still have it filed away for their narrative

21? In these times his days were numbered. He was living on borrowed time

That’s highly suspect. Healthy Air Force cadets don’t just drop dead. And being in AFA and in college football, he would have been thoroughly medically examined before playing multiple times

Almost all college players do full ECHOs now. So if it was something regarding an enlarged heart etc etc it would have been caught in most instances in todays college sports. I just can’t say for certain Air Force does ECHOs though

ETA: lsu didn’t do ECHOs when my sisters were athletes but when I played they did

Wrong. That’s speculation. They have not determined a cause yet

Hamilton wasn’t from the hit. Appears to experts are quietly backing away from commotio cardis, Since he coded twice.

You can’t rule at out A and assume B. That’s the guy on Twitter speculating. Ruling out A leaves B yes, but could also leave a potential C or D. It’s not positive finding, just negative finding

The pre existing conditions would be enlarged heart etc. But ruling out those doesn’t mean that the hit just randomly caused cardiac arrest

The actual medical report is coming out soon. It isn’t really “speculation”

That’s speculation. That guy on Twitter is making an assumption and he’s not involved in the case. All he has is doctors ruling out pre existing conditions and what he’s heard elsewhere on twitter

Speculation:

I think the fricked up thing is that there are people that want it to be the vax just so they can follow up with "SEE, I told you!"
