Have a 2 year old Honda foreman that over the past two weeks the camo pattern has been flaking off rapidly -- left it out and uncovered when we had the extreme cold temps a few weeks back which I think is causing this

seeing a variety of skins and covers online - does anyone have any experience putting those on? what is the best brand etc....

Did you call the dealer?

Even though the bike may be out of warranty, Honda might be willing to split the cost of a new set of plastic with you.

I promise that finish was tested in cold rooms well below zero- they may have got a bad batch from the supplier and have a fix as failed bulletin out on it.

Me personally I would find a shop that does wraps and have them just wrap the plastic you have now. Probably going to be cheaper and look better in the long run

My son likes Krylon spray. I kid

Man that sucks they wont do anything about it just 2 yrs later. Amazon sells some DIY for a couple hundred and use 3M vinyl with 5 or 7 yr durability claims.

Same thing has happened on my father's Honda Pioneer. The camo started flaking and peeling near the end of 21. It also faded very quickly as well despite it being under a covered shed pretty much 24/7 until is used during hunting season.

It's a 4 wheeler. A little brown here, a little green there, sometimes some black rattle can should do the trick. That's what my duck boat gets.

Had this problem all the way back in like 2009. Honestly, I’d just buy the brown one if I had to do it over again. Looking now, and the brown ones honestly look pretty bad arse.

What would it look like if you just took a steam cleaner and stripped it of the camo?

Love my Honda foreman that is now 16 yrs old. BUT ever since COVID Honda has had to back order a lot of stuff and twice after 3-6 months I canceled and went to eBay. The dealership is good about letting me cancel w/o penalty but dang Honda needs better support from the parts manufacturers.

I have the same problem on my 20 rubicon. I have a bunch of spots started within the last few weeks. I’ll worry about it when it starts turning white. It is a pain in the arse though that you pay 10k on a bike and it does that. Goes for everything these days though

I have a 2015 factory camo wrapped Honda that is half white as half the camo has flaked off after just a few years. I would advise against any Honda camo - lol

2019 camo Pioneer 1000-5. Camo peeling warranty denied first time I inquired. I then read on a Honda sxs forum where they were covering replacement under warranty. I inquired about warranty replacement a second time and was successful. They let me pick another color and warranty also covered labor. I suggest not taking dealership’s answer. Have them submit a warranty claim with Honda. It took two warranty submittals for me. Good luck.

It’s been an issue since at least 2010. The guy who sold me my Rancher said it would come off pretty easy and to just buy the red or green one. I got the red.
