I don't think it's meant as a shot at LSU. NFL players do that sometimes to give a shout out to their HS.

That was Joe “Hollywood” Horn if I remember right. He claimed his high school instead of his Mississippi JUCO. He had an odd route to the NFL.

From Alexandria. Then Winnfield for 6th & 7th, then back to Alexandria for some of 8th. Then Winnfield again for 9th and 10th and the ASH for 11th and 12th. He was a Transfer Portal pioneer.
