... Before essentially falling into a societal collapse.

LINK

Said it in an interview with Rogan released today.

Basically, the one child policy and the increase in labor costs due to the lack of 20-40 yr olds to make everything, and the nation's strick adhearance to ethno state (aka no immigration), Mexico is currently cheaper to manufacture in and this will continue.

Xi is also further and further isolating himself and nobody is brave enough to give him real news without being killed or jailed.

The end of 'globalism' will come in the next decade, according to Peter Zaihan.

The 3rd world is also about to collapse.

...

Do I believe all of this will come to fruition... Perhaps, but I've been hearing about China's "fall" for 20 yrs now and it has yet to materialize.

They ain’t the only ones. Looking at you, Scandinavia. Your population pyramid is NOT looking very promising for the next 20 years.

Goodbye welfare safety net!

I have sourced products all over the world and even after the 25% tariff, manufacturing in China is cheaper than Mexico.

China is really good at manufacturing. There are plenty of places with lower labor cost than China yet all of the best companies in the world keep buying from there.

China has lots of problems - but so does the rest of the world.

This guy isn't very smart. Large macro trends take several decades to play out. "China is going away in a decade". No, they are not.

One child policy plus central economic planning that led to ghost cities is going to bury them.
But, they will begin a war before their demise.
I’m convinced they could freeze our electrical grid if they wanted.

I wouldn't say he "isn't very smart", however, you have to take these types of world history predictions with a fat arse grain of salt. I think the micro trends he highlights are true, documentable and there's a chance he's right, but there's a greater chance he's wrong, with regard to the macro outcome he's predicting. It's a fun listen, though.

I think Norway’s 20 year horizon looks just fine with Russia committing economic suicide and Norway stepping in to become Europe’s largest nat gas provider.

China - who knows. Hard to invite the western world in economically and maintain autocratic political rule. It can work for a while when it is demonstrably improving the standard of living. China today is a different world from China of 1980 in terms of public infrastructure, access to clean water, electricity, food security, etc. But as China reaches the general standard of living as the west in terms of basic amenities, the natural desire for progress will turn from basic needs to political enlightenment. It’s a hell of a dragon they are trying to ride.

I also think they have some serious, diabolical methods of trying to save themselves.

The West's system of making it prohibitively expensive to produce children is leading to a similar population collapse. The solution, uninhibited third world immigration, will serve to further stamp the West into the dustbin of history.

Who will win the children war? Only time will tell.

infinite population increase before we can migrate to proven other terra is a catastrophe.

not enough fish.
pollution from coal.
not enough water.

1 child was the right move but a conservative approach to financing was necessary.
ponzi is disgusting lack of understanding the responsibility.

Not only is the worker/retired ratio going to be really fricked in 10-15 years, the up-and-coming workers don't want to be farmers.

Why you think they went and bought up all those African countries? Plenty of labor there
