For you bluegrass fans, here's an all star lineup doing an impromptu performance ca 1990

The late great Tony Rice on guitar and vocals, Mark O'Connor on fiddle, Jerry Douglas on dobro, Sam Bush on mandolin, Mark Schatz on bass and Bela Fleck on banjo.
This was recorded at the Merlefest in the early 1990's. The recording is not great, but the performance is legendary.
A case could be made that Tony Rice, Jerry Douglas, and Bela Fleck were/are the best bluegrass players ever on their respective instruments, although Earl Scruggs might have a thing or two to say about that

Pretty much that same band recorded an album under the name Strength in Numbers. If you like prog bluegrass I recommend it.

I believe there is a video of them doing Nine Pound Hammer at that same show that's really killer.

Bela Fleck
Saw him play with the Flecktones many years ago and between him and Victor Wooten I had to scrape my jaw off of the floor several times.

Bela Fleck is awesome. This video of him and Billy Strings is just ridiculous.
