Why do we continue to idolize and worship horrible people?

Had a friend who worked with her twice as a photographer. Said she was an arrogant condescending terrible person. Tried to introduce himself and she totally ignored him.

I don’t care at all what accomplishments people have made to an industry. If they’re a crappy person, screw them. They shouldn’t be acknowledged at all.

She was a lifelong leftist who pretended to be a non-political journalist. She epitomizes everything wrong with journalism in the past 50+ years. But her worst transgression was when she created The View. That’s simply unforgivable.

Let’s not forget the Corey Feldman interview where she wanted Corey to stop talking about pedophilia in Hollywood because it would damage the industry. She’s a piece of shite.

The whole country and world has a character flaw of worshipping celebrities. Whether that be movie celebrities, sports celebrities, politicians, et al. Not a new occurrence either. Monarchies have been celebrated for forever. Guess its engrained in our dna.

Chances are, in a given day, you'll walk past someone who is more worthy of being celebrated than the vast majority of "celebrities".

The "news" just did a feature on her. She was so smug. Calling all female journalists behind her, HER legacy. Like she was the main reason why women were coanchors, etc. She started the view. Enough said. A good journalist reports the news with facts and is not political. Not her.

The Baa Baa Waa Waa stuff (on SNL I think) actually really added to her celebrity.

Walters was a marxist acolyte. She made comments late in Obama’s 2nd term that the left thought he was the chosen one - and I’m not exaggerating the language that was used.

Her actual comment was something like “we thought he was the chosen one”. So she lumped herself in with the filth and verified that leftist leaders are like messiahs to them.

And her complaint with Obama was that he didn’t progress the revolution far enough.

While don’t disagree, if you applied this to all people “at the top”, significant portion of them should not be acknowledged.

Key component in the fuel that gets them to the top.

The people we should idolize are typically the ones you never heard of.

It’s human nature. It’s such an ingrained problem that God had to address it with lightning bolts on a stone tablet thousands of years ago.
