Looking to do a mini-renovation (due to water damage) at my house. Ascension Parish. Smallest dumpster possible --- companies to look at or stay away from?

I assume this is a monthly charge with a set up fee?

Back when I built, I used Ace for both my dumpster and my portolet.

A buddy opened “Five Star Rolloffs” out of Walker/Livingston and they offer 15 and 20 yd dumpsters, so cater more to the smaller market.

I know places like Waste Management also offer some options. Depending on the time frame of the rental, you could also rent or borrow a dump trailer and just run it to the landfill. Surprisingly though, dumpster rentals are fairly cheap.

I saw a Trash Rangers branded small dumpster the other day. You could give them a call.

Usually they are by the load OP for 2-3 days and then by the week or so. How much drywall are you talking about? They aren’t cheap, usually $250-300 to start

I just did this in ascension a few months ago. I called and got quotes from everyone. Morales was by far the best. They were also really easy to work with. If I did it again, I'd use them again.

Look into the Waste Management Bagster option. No rental fees so you can work at your pace, and it's for smallish jobs.

small dumpster

A neighbor of mine just replaced all his floors and used this new bag thing. He just set it in his driveway and filled it up.

They hold up to 3,300 lbs.

1. Buy the bag at Home Depot/Lowes/Amazon
2. Fill the bag
3. Call Waste Management to come pick up the bag

I'm curious about his experience. A neighbor used that bag thing a couple years ago and it took weeks and multiple follow-up calls to get it picked up. It was an eyesore and wind blew crap out of it.

I had a less then great experience with mine. I redid a small kids bathroom and used a bagster and it was between 1/2 to 3/4 full of mostly drywall and the bag ripped when they came to pick it up. They said I had way too much stuff. Luckily they were able to still take it the WM guy was great. But I mean I told him this thing is no where near capcity it seems crazy its

This has been a couple years so maybe they have increased their capacity?

The bagster doesn't tell you when you purchas, but its something like $225 to pick up. I think they are $20 to buy?

For $250 you really aren't getting much capacity at all, when you can rent a 5 ton dumpster for not much more. The only nice thing about the bagster is that you can potentially have it for weeks at a time and you only pay to pick up. So if you are weekend warrioring it then it may make more sense. But realistically demo shouldn't take that long.
