Service company says it's sounds like blower or controller as well, he said its possible cold could cause the issue.

He's busy obviously, but sounds like he's going to try to make it today. Asked for my address at least, lol

Most likely a heat pump which is of little use in this kind of weather. You can switch it to emergency heat and it’ll blow warm air but it’s also gonna tear your electric bill up.

I had to replace a blower motor on one of our units a couple weeks ago. I could smell it burnt through the return.

Put your wife on emergency auxiliary mode.

See if that works.

If not I'm outta ideas

A modern heat pump system should easily be able to handle down to zero Fahrenheit and below. No one in the south should be having trouble with their heat pump unless it's actively malfunctioning.

We are back in business. Only one electric heating strip was working. Got some baws from Mexico to fix it.

It’s probably low on blinker fluid.

Thermal cutoff or sequencer problem?

J/k, I know you won't have any idea what those are.

You can try switching it off at the breaker for a minute then back on. May just need a reset if this is the first time your heat has ran this fall/winter.
