I am in my 40's and can't remember a QB besides Joe Burrow that LSU fans didn't root for the backup QB more than the starting QB.

I’ve been doing it for 20 plus years. Short answer, yes

Herb Tyler, Tommy Hodson. But yes, that's generally been the case my entire life

You've been around that long; you'd know there's a reason...

Did the backup ever get the start because of the fans?

I think it’s more of a frustration watching Daniels than it is a love for Nuss or Walker

The QBs have been bad outside of a few late.

Never wanted the backup with Mettenberger. Never wanted the backup with Flynn and Perrilloux was my favorite recruit ever at the time. Didn’t want the backup under JaMarcus.

It’s pretty much all fans save those with an elite QB. no LSU fans were calling for the back up in 2019.

He’s frustrating in a different way, because at the end of the day he will have the stats people will use to justify him playing. However, I rather an offense where the receivers are catching multiple TDs and the RBs are the leading rushers.

People point to beating Bama, but we easily could have lost to Arky with everything on the line. He was horrible against them. Then followed that up with a loss against A&M. Just so inconsistent.

I would be cool with Daniels being back if the coach actually was willing to pull him if he struggled. I just don’t see it.

What’s the reason? Because I didn’t want Brennan starting. I was also in favor of Daniels coming to LSU and starting over him.

When the starting QB has passing deficiencies it should be expected.

there were a lot of posters here in 2018 clamoring for myles brennan to play instead of burrow. especially after the 29-0 bama home loss.

But there was a contingent of those fans back then, they just didn't have TD to vocalize it on by starting 10 threads a day every day.

There was never a backup that more fans yearned for than Perrilloux!

I’m still pissed that Bryan Sparacino never got a fair shot
