Tough one to watch. Don’t remember a turnover in the second half. Let them do what they wanted in and around the paint. Kind of painful to watch.

Millers problems have a lot to do with Hill. If that guy isn’t gumming up the offense Millers getting more and better looks. Hill is also terrible on D, 4 or 5 times in transition he failed to stop the ball and we gage up easy baskets in the second half alone. Good to be 11-1 but Hill is going to hold us back.

How is mwani not getting any minutes at all?

I saw he got zero action tonight.

The guy was getting minutes on two teams that were better than this one. I’m not saying the guys a star but he can play defense and he hustles and maybe I’m biased but the dude stuck with us and this program when almost everyone bailed.

Give mwani some time

This has got to be the sketchiest 11-1 in NCAA history
My take on this is probably not for this thread.

As someone pointed out, this team has some good individual parts but they have yet to put it together as a team. You have to blame that on the point guard. It is his job to get everyone involved and run successful plays. Hill puts his head down and drives without even thinking of kicking it off to a teammate and then usually throws up a bad shot or gets it stuffed. McMahon doesn't have any other guards who can play point either. Hayes is a shooter, Hanibal is a liability because he can't shoot and Justice Williams is not very good at anything.

Totally agree. I don’t think I’ve seen one of our teams win so many close OOC games to poor competition. I legitimately believe they play down to the level of competition. But I also believe they will finish sub .500 in conference.

If we play defense like we did in the second half against Arkansas, they will score 100.

Our on-ball defense was pitiful. They got in the lane at will and killed us on the offensive glass.

What if our “level of completion” is on par with these below average mid major teams?

Maybe we’re just not any good.

They have shown they will play up and down to competition. I think that continues even when the competition ramps up.

What competition have we “played up” to? I’m not sure we’ve played a team that will make the field of 68.

Wake Forest beat Duke by double digits last night and Wisconsin a couple weeks ago.

Yeah, but they’ve got a bad loss on their resume that may keep them out of the tournament

It’s not even New Years yet, they have 2 big wins and the reigning ACC coach of the year. They’re a good team, you can’t play tourney teams when the tourney hasn’t happened yet.
