If we beat Alabama for a top DB, that’s huge. If we beat Napier and Raymond for a top DB, that’s huge. A guy based in Florida too.
It’s huge for the narrative around LSU and Brian Kelly.

The difference now is you can get a Charger anywhere. But only in Baton Rouge can you shut down the interstate and do burnouts for street cred, or get that fade or them braids touched up on the Horace Wilkinson, overlooking both the mighty Mississipp' and Tiger Stadium.

Man not this again. There’s no sense in getting excited over the kid until he signs the paper. We’ve seen this year after year after year where some “insider” says “LSU LOCK! BOOK IT!” and some 5* signs somewhere else.

So I guess it depends on where you want to look. Not really comparable to Patrick Peterson, Leonard Fournette, Derek Stingley or Harold Perkins
If the kid goes on to be a 2 time all American and Thorpe winner I will gladly say I was wrong

Lol with or without Ricks the narrative doesn't change. Harold Perkins was such a bigger recruit it's not even close.

Nothing you posted contradicts this.
His .9889 rating puts him at No. 28 all-time, just below Kayshon Boutte.
I believe Top 30 all-time (which really means in the last 30 years) qualifies as "one of the biggest recruits ever"
Edit: Looks like the ratings go back to 2001, so the last 22 years.

Twatts had a thread on BOL last night with his update which included his update on Desmond ricks and further down in the comments t Watts stated that he didn't feel and bama didn't feel that Rick's should have been considered elite and that he was overrated. That's what the other poster is referring to. And I tend to agree that once the bama staff starts poo pooing a recruits it's so that there's subscribers are let down a little easier.
