This is sounding more and more like the AD fired Niumatalolo for personal reasons and not performance. Makes zero sense to elevate their DC when his defenses have been too mediocre to justify a promotion.

Ya, they are going to run the option so that's a foregone conclusion, so you'd think defensive performance would be a key factor hiring a defensive guy, especially him.

Or no one wants to work for him considering how he handled the firing of his previous coach. Either way I think it’s a great hire and I’m excited for the direction of the program.

Ken had become more and more outspoken about some issues he had with how the Navy and service academies as a whole conduct football. This wouldn't surprise me

it was definitely personal. especially the manner in which he was fired. totally unprofessional, especially for the naval academy.
