The Immaculate Reception happened 50 years ago in 1972…I was 12 years old.

Reading about how good auto seat warmers feel even when it's not cold! Subtle brag, but have you ever used a steering wheel heater? OMG, what a relief for these old, arthritic hands!

going on FB for the first time in years and seeing things from 12 years ago you have ZERO recall of saying/typing.

seeing the twitter bosses/reporters LIVE chat w/ Elon and they are babies that dye their hair rainbow colors and breast feed baby ferrets for paternal leave.

42. Having to get up and take a piss every damn night, usually between 1:00 and 3:00 am. Every damn night. 0 beers or 6 beers- doesn’t matter.
I probably need a prostate exam.

I'm a few years older than you but same. I have to get up and take a piss at 3am every morning. It's rarely more than 10 minutes off from 3am. And then my success rate at getting back to sleep is about 50/50

I had to scale a fence, didn't hesitate to make my move..... but as it was occurring, it was not only difficult but took a hell of a long time. I was also a tad bit winded after and had some tightness in the ankles & knees

The junior people at the office don’t get the movie quotes or TV quotes as those shows were released before they were born.

Venues I’ve been to (sports stadiums, restaurants, movie theaters, etc.) start getting torn down, shuttered, or change to a different business.

Not having to check the weather each morning because my body has already told me.

When I first started as a mailman in 1986, I used to deliver to a coffee shop. There was always a group of retirees hanging out there and talking. I kept saying one day, I'll be one of those guys. Now, I meet a group for coffee every day and when the mailman brings the mail I think,36 years ago, I was that guy.

Today makes 50 years since man last visited the Moon. I always wondered how life would be in the future. I imagined a much better civilization, with incredible advancements that would significantly better our world and would help us establish colonies on the Moon. We'd also be a much better civilization to each other.

50 years on, I'm realizing what a naive dumb arse that I was as a kid.

I realize this country is in a war for it's soul...and it will extend beyond my lifetime. I pray for the future of my children and their children.
