Flight Booked for Europe this Summer

Haven't been to Europe since 2017 so I'm psyched!
Dallas>>>Madrid direct flight Madrid 2 nights
>>>>>Pamplona 2 nights
>>>>>San Sebastian 5 nights including seeing 2 stages of the Tour de France
>>>>St Jean Luz 3 nights
>>>>>>Brussels 3 nights-Going here mainly to go to Cantillion, hopefully they aren't closed for summer holiday but they aren't providing any info on closure dates right now.
>>>>>Amsterdam 7 nights
>>>>>Dallas direct flight
I know it looks like a lot of moving around but most distances between cities are short. The train to Brussels is 7 hours w/ a 1 1/2 hr layover in Paris but that's easy.
Any recs for San Sebastian are appreciated.

Screw you, I'm jealous.
Also, pics or it didn't happen (see Torch below)
But I am planning a trip in June for Hautes-Pyrenees and San Sebastian, so I'm following along in this thread as well. Trying to convince the significant other to let me cycle the Col du Tourmalet one day
Also, if you happen to be around there on July 23rd, you should go check out the start of the Transcontinental Race in Geraardsbergen. Look it up on YouTube, it seems like a very cool experience.

Sounds like an awesome trip! I'll be in Europe at the same time but, based on your itinerary, I'll already be gone from Brussels by the time you make it there

Yea, I'm lucky I work for myself. I take my laptop and work in the mornings if I have to, which I have on previous trips.

Interesting, but I will be back home in the heat blast furnace by then.

I'm sure I don't have to tell you but Moeder Lambic is definitely worth a stop. I prefer Fontainas, others prefer the Original(St Gilles).
Just make sure you don't have much to do the next day.
Edit: Kulminator in Antwerp is a unique experience if you can somehow swing it.

That looks cool, reminds me of a nicer version of 't Velootje bar (bicycle bar) in Ghent, Belgium. I doubt we get to Antwerp this time.

When you get burnt out of pintxos, go to Gerald's bar for dinner. Best meal I had during my stay in San Sebastian. Also have a few drinks then mosey on up to the top point of Old Town for sunset .
Check out Biarritz while in France. IMO much more to do and see than SJL. I'd recommend staying here and just doing a day trip to SJL.

Book a Devour Food tour early on in your stay. You'll get some great food and tips on the Pintxo scene.
Hike from San sebastian to Pasai Donibane (take the boat ferry across) and then lunch at Restaurante Txulotxo or similar, return on the ferry and then hike or take the bus back.
Go check out Bilbao (Guggenheim Museum Bilbao area ) and Gaztelugatxeko Doniene (Game of Thrones film site).

How much did you pay for that flight? I would love to take my family but flights have gotten crazy expensive since the last time I went almost 10 years ago. Like double and now x5 instead of x2. Ugh.
Also, will you be in Pamplona for Running of the Bulls?

Premium economy, $1900 each ticket paid with CC points. Also flying into Madrid and out of Amsterdam which added about $150. Regular economy was $1200 each.

I looked at that and we could have made it work but lodging is crazy expensive during that time and reading online, if you don't have access to an apt. With a balcony or window along the route it's nearly impossible to see much.

Can be found on All Trails: "Northern Way: Pasaia - San Sebastian".
We started at the most eastern side of Zurriola Beach for the trail (Part of El Camino de Santiago)
Devour Tours
If you want to do the tour, you may want to book early. They fill up. We were pretty lost in the pintxo scene the first couple of nights before we took the tour.

Our Lord of the Attic Museum
Van Gogh museum
Go to a farmer's market and get some fenugreek cheese
Anne Frank museum was too crowded for me to enjoy.
