I'm sure the general public will be thrilled once they learn more about DeSantis - short, uncharismatic, horrible voice.

Those are always winning characteristics in a Presidential candidate!

Truth. Trump is the man, but he can't stop tripping over his own hubris.

I think Ron makes more sense at this point but I’m pretty dejected after the last few years. Just don’t see a path.

Trump will dominate the primary. But if Trump is smart and he doesn’t let his ego get in the way, he would put Desantis on the ticket with him.

Trump could just endorse and campaign for Ron if he actually cares about his country like the cult claims.

Ron has zero interest in being VP.

DeSantis agreeing to be Trump’s running mate would be one of the dumbest personal decisions in political history. It would immediately end any chance he had of ever becoming POTUS.

This shows the weakness of the American people. We are no longer up for the fight. People are willing to go back to controlled corruption over standing up to the government and that is why we are in the position we are in right now.

I was in the military when I was young and was I was always proud of they but most people in this nation are not worth fighting for!

DeSantis running against Trump would end his (DeSantis') career.

You ever suspect there might be a reason these tabloids and news organizations (you know..the same ones who have been lying to the American Public for the past 20 years) might want to release a "poll" like this? Do you now believe these polls (the same polls that said Hillary would beat Trump in a landslide) are somehow now honest and accurate? You think it's possible they are telling you what they want you to think? Much like this board. Notice how this type of stuff...and the encouragement of a few subtle posters, seems to sway momentum where it now almost feels like many are abandoning Trump...and now DeSantis is the great right hope...the "only" chance the Republicans have?? Yeah....not sure I'm buying the narrative here.

That is what I said in '16 btw. Adamantly! I was wrong.

You are certainly wrong, as you unwittingly admit yourself when you claim "Trump would be 25% odds."

How did your endorsements do in the midterms Ron?

Nice deflection.

DeSantis basically endorsed the same candidates Trump did, except O'Dea.

Difference is DeSantis didn't endorse the 200 "cupcake" races Trump did.

DeSantis would be favored over Biden in WI, GA, and AZ (maybe even NV). That's all he needs to flip from the 2020 map to get to 270 electoral votes. AZ will probably be the hardest flip of the three states needed.

Do people not realize that there is a probably a 20% portion of the nation that will only vote if Trump is on the ticket? Trump increased vote totals from 2016 by over 10 million in 2020. We all know 80 million did not vote for Biden.

People have been telling that 20% to piss off for a couple years. You can make claims about Trump's total votes and whine about stolen elections all you want, but deep down I think you all know it's bullshite.

If that happens, I think a Trump/Desantis ticket would be unstoppable.

Hitching himself completely to Trump would be a regressive move by DeSantis. He's done a great job of keeping The Cult at a distance, but not so far that all but the most unhinged would vote for him.
