For those doing OMAD or IF, how many calories do you consume?

Do you find it hard to hit protein and macro goals?

I don't know how I could hit protein goals in one meal. Maybe if I drank 4 protein drinks.

That's kind of my question... I know a lot of this board does one of these two methods and I'm wondering how they hit nutritional goals.

Maybe the goal is to just stay in an extreme deficit.

Have to supplement with Whey. But, if you are eating meat, eggs and fish with whey you'll be fine on IF. No clue on OMAD, I have not tried that. But, with 18-6, I am good.

I tried many different windows. I found 16 wasn't enough and 24 too much. 18 is perfect.

Just off the top of my head. My goal is grams per day roughly equal to my goal body weight.

8 oz sirloin is like 55 grams of protein.

4 eggs 25 grams

2 protein shakes are about 64 grams

Salmon 8 oz 40 grams

tuna 8 oz 43 grams

I do 16/8 IF during the week.

Today I consumed 1529 calories.

189g Protein - 44%
168g Carbs - 39%
31g Fat - 16%

709 calories burned with 2 workouts.
56 minute walk listening to my daily podcast - 296 calories burned
51 minute leg day workout - 413 calories burned.

820 net calories consumed.

IF is easy. But OMAD doesn’t seem like it would work for nutritional goals. I know Mark Bell was doing it for a while. His dinner was like 6 eggs, and bunch of steak, hamburger, and I don’t know what else. It looked like a heart attack on a plate. But, he refuses to track his nutrition. He is adamant about this. He says it doesn’t matter. He’s kind of out there. He also doesn’t train using any plan. He just does what he wants. He seems happy, and he looks amazing. So, what the hell do I know.

How does it work with your body only absorbing x grams of protein at a time though? If you eat all 200 grams of protein in one meal, doesn't your body shite out 150 of it because it just can't absorb it all at once?

Research generally suggests no more than about 2.2g/kg of body weight in a day. Or, about .4g/kg of body weight over 4 meals per day seems ideal.

That’s why I said, it probably doesn’t work well for OMAD.
