Man, How Things Have Changed From Just Three Years Ago

Late 2019 the country was rolling, everything D.C. tried to stick on Trump was failing miserably and getting laughably bad, the influx of The Squad from the 2018 midterms was creating a fissure in the Dem party that appeared to be getting ready to be blown open completely. Not even the MSM covering for them seemed to be working. All the Republicans had to do was put differences aside within the party temporarily and come together with all factions and splinter the DNC network in 2020 then sort their shite out later. But instead they let their differences turn to infighting and internal conflict while the Dems circled the wagons and mended things all the while convincing the establishment branch of the GOP that keeping the Uniparty Bacon Wrapped Shrimp Club together was best for business. When in reality "best for business" meant we throw you some scraps now and then but overall you get to play controlled opposition and fundraise while we dictate policy; and Turtle and Co. said "Well, ok then."
Covid not withstanding I feel like it was going to happen this way anyway, pandemic or not. The pandemic and the change to voting laws definitely provided the catalyst to accelerate it though.

Never underestimate the ability of the GOP to stomp on its own dick with golf spikes

DNC owns Hollywood, the music industry, sports leagues, social media (except Twitter for the last 5 minutes), national media, academia, most corporations, etc.
The change is inevitable, but it is surprising how quickly things are changing.

It is reasonable to assume that the changes have been so swift that there has been devious forces at the controls… The change has been unnatural… like the Mississippi River changing course in a week’s time…

Last taste of the good times for at least 2 more years. Next cycle the democrats will have a ton of people needing to get re-elected un like this cycle. I prefer OMB at the desk but whoever it is is better than any phucking democrat. 1st we have to deal with this travesty for our country

Plus, you are also seeing the fruits of the Dems long game of:
The Great Society and
The Department of Education
50+ years of handouts and indoctrination will yield results.

This was all set in motion when the world's most cowardly man, Jeff Sessions, recused himself for no reason - and then Trump refused to fire him immediately.
Jeff Sessions is the biggest loser in the history of politics. At the most important time of his life, he wilted and folded like a cheap tent in a storm.
Republicans had the House and Senate by good margins and pissed it away in two short years, paving the way for 2020.
There is no single entity in politics filled with as many born losers and cowards, as the Republican Party. And now Newt is out there telling people they must support McCarthy for Speaker.
The only thing they are good at, is losing.

When your party flourishes off a world wide pandemic...you might have your priorities wrong.
