He's getting the fired. The whole point was maintaining Payton's infrastructure and he's failed miserably at that. Now you'd have to believe he can build it back which isn't why you hired him.

Bingo

He was hired only to keep the status quo, not build anything or reshape the organization.

Season ticket renewals will suffer if Allen is still the head coach

He's a defensive coach with an incompetent offense. Pete Carmichael needs to go as does Ingram.

Defensively we really miss Marcus Williams at safety and PJ Williams

Depends upon who can execute his firing.

This team will lose out and Allen should be fired. It’s just delaying the inevitable at this point.

I don’t think Sean would come back even if they put his name in big letters on top of the superfine and a bank full of tax free cash.

No, I expect the Saints to be drafting top five after next season.

Not just top 5, top 1-2. And that’s just if Drake Maye comes out. If he doesn’t, do what you must to get Caleb Williams.

We need to keep losing in epic fashion like this where the head coach is clearly at fault. It’s the only way. The new coach will come in with no first round pick and no expectations so he’ll have time to rebuild. That’s our best hope right now.

Carmichael didn't even want the job to begin with. They had to talk him into it. Guy's been on the staff for almost 20 years, finally got the chance to take the reigns, and had to be begged to do it. He didn't even believe in his own coaching, no clue why Allen and Loomis did.

But thats what happens when you don't actually try to put together the best staff you can, but use the buddy system to hire.

I didn't think it was possible but I am changing my mind on that.

Their remaining schedule isn't that bad.

I don't think it's likely that they win 3 out of 5 games but I don't think he gets fired if they go 7-10.

I know he doesn't have Sean Payton's resume but Payton had a few mediocre seasons with a HOF QB.

He ain't getting fired. He'll be here another season and it will be the same result or worse. If I'm a season ticket holder I'm not renewing them. People that invest in this team need to hit them where it hurts. These types of results are unacceptable. But the problem also arises with Rita's lackies like Loomis who I have no confidence in turning this around.

I just don’t have any faith in the people that actually hired Allen to do the right thing and admit their failure, especially without an owner to hold them accountable.

He needs to, but if he is the pressure will be immense to hire Bienemy or Leftwich. Not sure either is better honestly.

We just found a way to lose, in epic fashion, to a really bad team. Our wins are against some of the worst teams in the NFL.

atlanta 5-8
Seattle 7-5
Raiders 5-7
Rams 3-9

Hell, we have loses to bad teams:

Bucs 6-6
Steelers 5-7
Panthers 4-8
Cardinals 4-8

Face it, we are the worst of the worst. We barely beat atlanta the first game and now we will have a bunch of uninspired players this game. We aren’t winning against Cleveland or Philadelphia. A win against Carolina gives Dennis Allen that elusive 5th win of the season.

God, this sucks!
