LSU fans: Please TRY to be classy this weekend

please refrain from trying to make the fanbase/state look bad/worse
examples of this are:
1. any kind of sign referring to Barack Obama (NObama signs included)
2. confederate LSU flags
3. throwing trash
4. Booing LSU players.
5. "pee" balloons.

I KNOW you've been reading this board lately because you've been a part of the bashing. But just by reading this board, even rational LSU fans call their own fan base bad. Reword that comment to "please refrain from trying to make the fanbase/state look worse."

Kinda dumb to do it in a football stadium after the election is over, granted, but other than that I don't see what's wrong with expressing one's political beliefs either way. That's as American as the Pledge of Allegiance.

A plan to get as many NObama signs on TV as possible the same week as the first black president is elected when all of our top recruits are black is fricking retarded.

Yes, LSU fans, lets all pretend like we are all in church - or at the ballet. That'll show em and it will further solidify Tiger Stadiums place as an intimidating place to play.

It's retarded to do it because the election is over.
If a recruit (white or black) is that offended by someone holding a sign up either praising Obama or trashing him, he shouldn't be at a university to begin with. Every school in the nation has political rallies of all kinds on campus.
Besides, it isn't like LSU is going begging for talent, if someone leaves because he doesn't like the political climate there are plenty of talented replacements who would love to wear purple and gold.

Because during the "civil rights era" the "Confederate" flag was adopted by segregationists to express their contempt with the forced desegregation plan(s), and thus took on an anti-black connotation.
I'm all for expressing pride in SOuthern heritage, but I think that the "Confederate" flag should be abandoned and the Bonnie Blue flag or the orginial confederate "stars and bars" should be adopted. Just my $.02
