If I get neuralink, it'll be the 4th or 5th generation of it, after millions of people have already been exploring it for years.

no. i dont for this very reason. seems like awesome tech, but when successful, it will be mandated, or be a willing choice of being allowed to participate in society or not, kinda like agenda21- now 30.

And not to mention the obvious axiom that “power corrupts “ imperfect humans who control said power. From what I hav e "heard" - this brain chip is for people who how pre existing conditions - It's not like they are going to use it and poke newborns in the head with this chip shot like everybody is "thinking"

A couple scenarios that I can think of (all dystopian of course):
1) Are you willing to sell your own soul and have the means to pay expensive subscription fees to satisfy your insatiable pursuit to "enhance/augment" yourself so you can climb the interminable corporate/social ladder?
2) Will you be willing to take the "mark" so you will not be ostracized as an "outsider" of a fully transhumanized society? All privileges of an assimilated citizen will not be available to you and you will have to rummage through the trash bins for food - you will essentially be a nameless/digital-id-less wandering nomad completely cast out from all circles of society.
