I'm frustrated about AtM game also, but no one thought this year's accomplishments were possible. This is a dream season considering the condition this program was in thanks to O.

Shake it off lads, we're in good hands. The future is bright.

Did you really have to make a new thread that shares the same sentiments that 2,000 regular posts on here since Saturday night shared?

There's 6,000 threads bashing our qb so why can't we have 2,00 positive ones?

Oo that's right, any positivity on the rant is frowned upon

No one's saying you can't, the issue is why create threads for regular arse thoughts that get repeated ad nauseum?

100% of LSU crowd would have been happy with this season before the first game. Now they act like entitled little brats. The same behavior that get you shite talked by other fan bases. Some people just don’t know how to be happy.

So why can't you just NOT READ the duplicates? Novel idea, I know.

9-4, SECCG appearance,

We haven’t lost the SECCG yet. I’m certainly not ready to concede that loss. Likely as it may seem today, I’m not sure it seems any more likely than us beating A&M did this time last week. That’s why you play the games.

I will say that this may be the most challenging week of BK’s LSU career, not just so far, but potentially for the rest of his tenure. He will face post-Honeymoon phase criticism for the 1st time (he pretty much got a mulligan after the FSU loss). He’s obviously faced it a million times before, so it’s no big deal in and of itself and he’ll handle it externally like a pro. But you could hear his disappointment after the game—he hurt for his players, his coaches, the university, and the fanbase—and it was more than regular disappointment from a loss. He felt what huge opportunity they had just let slip away, and I’m sure was really 2nd-guessing himself over things he could have done differently.

But the real challenge comes from himself and the coaching staff letting that game go (“1 snap and clear”), and then communicating that same message to the team in a way that they can hear it and respond. The buy-in to his process will be challenged like it hasn’t yet. He’s got to convince them that not only is there still inherent value in winning the SEC Championship (this notion seems absurd to reasonable people, but there are a lot of people who have de-valued not only a conference championship, but any accomplishment short of winning an NC), but there is inherent value in winning the game, period. (You play to win it. Hello!).

Can Kelly put that in a message that the players are able and willing to hear this week and respond to? Can they, as 18-21-year-olds, maturely (and quickly) forget about the epic opportunity they lost and focus on the ones they still have in front of them and prepare and play accordingly? I think so, but it will be fascinating to watch unfold throughout the week.

The A&M game just felt off the whole time. As others have said, I’m not ready to write of the SEC championship game yet. UGA has showed some holes in recent weeks.

This team far exceeded expectations and played 2 really flat games down the stretch. Hard to get up for every game after Bama, especially after clinching. Hopefully they realize there is a lot to play for and Saturday and be another great step forward for this program.

Those same 6k are holding their breath waiting every injury update knowing this team is MUCH better with him under center.

of course, but it's also about context. If we had lost our first 3 games, and then won 9 straight and won the West, we'd be thrilled.

But if we'd won our first 9 games, and then lost our last 3, we'd be bummed.

The expectations of a season are fluid, and can move throughout the year due to various factors.

The truth is that we had a shot at making the playoffs this year, and laid an egg against a bad 4-7 team to kill that chance.

It's ok to feel terrible about that, yet also feel good about the season overall.

We got our arse kicked by one of the worst team in the SEC. There is no positive spin here. Georgia will destroy us.

Well, we can go back and bookend with the FSU game to start the season, too. A good team finds a way to win that game and LSU just wasn't a good team yet.

The aTm game turned on 1 play - the scoop and score, which gives the Daniels bashers ammo going into the post-season. A good showing in Atlanta and the bowl game should tamp that down, but the season played out much differently than I thought.

After the start, I figured LSU would win 7 or 8 games, losing to Bama and Ole Miss, but I figured we would beat aTm. That's why they play the games. The inconsistency of the team over the stretch is a concern going forward, but Kelly's proven track record and the, frankly, overperformance even if we lose out based on what the team had when he arrived are all signs that suggest a positive outlook for the team as early as 2023.

I mean, FFS, this team only has UGA between itself and a SEC Championship this Saturday. That's a remarkable turn from pre-season expectations and even as recently as the Tennessee game would have been seen as an unlikely outcome.

On the other hand, this was Kelly's first November loss in some years.

well I'm 58 years old and certainly not an entitled brat. I am, however, a fan that was excited we had a shot at the playoffs, but then laid an egg against a bad 4-7 team to kill that chance.

You realize it doesn't make someone "entitled" to expect our team to play at a high level against a bad team, with a possible playoff shot on the line?

Everyone pegged LSU to finish 5th in the West. I'd say there is plenty to be happy about. It sucks losing at the end of the season, esp. to A&M, but LSu beat Bama, Ole Miss, Auburn, and FL!
