It was bullshite. You think they pick up that call for alabama? I’ll answer it for you no.

Some weird shite was going on with the phantom holding call as well. Ref that threw the flag was pleading with the head ref that the flag was legit, pulling on his shirt collar to show him. Like the head ref was saying “that’s a big damn call, you sure it was that blatant?”

1st and 10 in the red zone to 3rd and 19. Not saying the fix was in but it was a game changer.

Yes because there's an emphasis this year on the secondary making a "football move" and an "equal right to the pass." However in this case the only football move was going through the wide receiver and contact early, so the PI should have stood and not waved off. You simply have to take an angle with your football move, you can't climb their back.

I am sick and tired of watching bull shite calls that control the outcome of the game over and over again! What can LSU do about this?

It’s completely unfair to the fans and players to watch one guy in stripes throw a flag whenever and at whoever he wants to control the outcome of a game.

Well obviously one ref felt the need to overrule or talk the other official out of what he saw, which had been obvious. When other officials get involved to try and reverse calls like that, there is a reason why they don’t want it called

Just guessing but I disagree with the commentators. I don't think the refs discussed whether the defender had a right to the ball. I think the discussion was about the ball being catchable. If the offensive player had jumped and even tipped the ball, he would've got the call. But since he didn't jump, it probably was deemed too high over his head (i.e. not catchable) and the flag was picked up.

That's just my take on it.

That was the most bizarre non-call I can remember. Particularly because they called a clear and obvious PI. Then they uncalled a clear and obvious PI.

Because apparently you can hit a person on the back and on the head if you are making a play on the ball. The call was a joke.

That whole game was weird. Weird for both teams at certain points. But weird penalties, at least weird times for them. Weird effort, or lack thereof.

I think we just didn't show up, but it was like we were just going through the motions like the fix was in. Like the sec didn't want to chance LSU pushing Georgia out of the playoff so we just weren't going to win and we knew it.

I know that's just sour grapes, but I felt that while watching the game.

Did anybody else notice the kind of "oh, shite" look on the ref's face just before he announced it?
Dude was very uncomfortable even after turning the mike back off.

I was surprised that no explanation was given by the referee.

That called didn't surprise me after 74-72 at that field. That bogus holding call that negated a 1st down run by Daniels was just as bad. Both of those drives would have netted points.

I don’t recall seeing a PI picked up in college...ever. To do so with no explanation is sketchy as frick.

Defender was “making a play for the ball”

Shouldn’t have been picked up, terrible holding call too. Also thought Jenkins had that TD.

Just think it was a bad crew. Doubt the conference is against us. They wouldn’t sabotage their looming conference title game from having a little extra shine as a potential play in game

The ref next to the play (in front of the receiver) did not throw a flag. The flag came from behind the play. My guess is the closest ref told the head guy that the defender went for the ball and it wasn't interference. It was a bad call obviously, but that is my guess as to what happened.

Yes, the refs said he defender was going for the ball, right up the receivers back. Bullshite call.
